Kingpin Reportedly Returning in Upcoming Spider-Man Sequel

We're all still a little bummed that Daredevil has been cancelled since it means we won't be seeing more of Wilson Fisk. However, a new report may have revealed that Kingpin is about to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe through one of the planned Spider-Man sequels.

There is little doubt that Kingpin is one of the best-known Marvel villains. In addition to being a major part of the Daredevil series, the character was the main antagonist in the film starring Ben Affleck as Matt Murdock. The baddie was also the Big Bad in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, where Fisk was voiced by Liev Schreiber. So is it time for Kingpin to go up against Tom Holland's Peter Parker?

A new report from We Got This Covered cites multiple sources suggesting that Fisk will be reintroduced into the MCU either through Spider-Man 3 or its sequel. Interestingly, the sources also claim that Vincent D'Onofrio is being eyed to reprise his role from the Netflix series. If this happens, it could mean that Disney and Marvel Studios are ready to slowly bring back the characters from the cancelled Marvel shows.

This is exciting news since D'Onfrio's take on Fisk has been one of the best so far. On the other hand, it's important to point out that the update has not yet been confirmed. With that in mind, it's best to take it with a grain of salt.
