The Kingdom anime is gearing up for its long-awaited return as Kingdom Season 5 finally got an official release date announcement along with a new visual.
There may be no new trailer for it yet, but the visual does highlight the main characters of the Kan Ki Army, which will play a big role in the next season.
Along with the visual, more info about the show was released. Specifically, the voice actors of the Kan Ki Army were revealed.
Kingdom Season 5 Reveals Four New Voice Cast Members
Previously, Kingdom Season 5 got a visual that featured its main cast. These include the likes of Xin, Qiang Lei, and Diao He Liao, among others.
Now, the anime’s next season is being hyped up even more with another teaser visual, which serves as a counterpart to the previous poster that was released.
Putting both visuals together should give fans a good idea of what to expect in this upcoming season of the long-awaited historical anime.
The Kan Ki Army’s voice cast includes the following notable VAs:
- Kentaro Ito (Renji Abarai in Bleach) as Kan Ki
- Haruka Nagamine (Tiana in Endo and Kobayashi Live!) as Koku'ou
- Kenji Nomura (Yuujirou Hanma in Baki) as Raido
- Motoki Sakuma (Hans Reiheit in Shaman King) as Ma Ron
These cast members will join returning VAs such as Masakazu Morita (Ichigo Kurosaki in Bleach) as Xin, Yoko Hikasa (Rias Gremory in High School DxD) as Qiang Lei, and Jun Fukuyama (Lelouch in Code Geass) as Zheng Ying.
Also returning is Pierrot, the studio that worked on the Kingdom anime from the first season. They are joined by Studio Signpost, a studio that has been involved in the anime since Season 3.

Kingdom Season 5 Reveals January 2024 Release Date
Kingdom is one of the most popular manga and anime in Japan. Since the manga began serialization in 2006, Kingdom has become one of the bestselling manga of all time with over 99 million copies in circulation.
Aside from the manga, the anime has also been a huge success as it now has over 100 episodes. Plus, the Kingdom live-action films have also become box office hits in Japan.
Kingdom Season 5 is set to release in Japan on January 6, 2024, though there’s currently no word on how many episodes this new season will have.
There’s also no announcement yet on which platform the series will be released outside Japan. But given that Season 4 was streamed on Crunchyroll, it’s expected that Season 5 will also be available there.
