Kingdom Hearts: Memory of Melody is a Brand-New Rhythm Game That’s Canon to the Story

Kingdom Hearts has never been Simple and Clean, despite what the catchy theme song might tell you but it has been home to some fantastic musical tracks. Whether they be original songs or remixes of Disney classics, fans have a lot to enjoy when it comes to Kingdom Hearts music, which is why fans are hyped for the new rhythm game, Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory.

It's just a cute rhythm game where you listen to some awesome music from these beloved games right? Hahaha, no. Not at all.

While the gameplay trailer does make it seem like a fun romp with great music, the final bit shows that it will actually dive deep into the story of Kairi. Not only will we see a bit of her childhood but it looks like she will also help Riku find Sora after the weird events of Kingdom Hearts 3.

They are also teasing a big Master of Masters unmasking, which is something fans have been wanting to see for the longest time. Any chance that it will be an older Sora who feels that dedicating his life to friendship and helping others was a lie? It would be neat but we're gonna have to wait and see.

Another interesting bit about Melody of Memory is that it will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, in addition to the PS4 and Xbox One. This is the first time a Kingdom Hearts game has hit the Switch and it has us hoping that we'll get some ports of the older games soon enough. Here is hoping that's the case.

Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory will be coming to PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch later this year.
