Kingdom Hearts 3 Opening Theme 'Face My Fears' is Now Available for Streaming

The moment many Kingdom Hearts fans have been waiting for is here. No, not the release of Kingdom Hearts 3, which is due on January 29 for the PS4 and Xbox One, but we do have the next best thing; the game's opening theme. That's right, Face My Fears from Hikaru Utada and Skrillex is now available for streaming and purchasing, so if you have Spotify or Apple Music, it's time to plug in those headphones.

Fans first got a glimpse of Face My Fears when Square Enix released the opening movie of the game, which had the music playing in the background while a bunch of wild imagery played. It's typical Kingdom Hearts and fans will love it for that, though many might be turned off by the odd EDM-style drop. Then again, it's not like the franchise is above dubstep.

Don't Think Twice, the game's other theme song was released a while back and is arguably the better song. That doesn't mean Face My Fears is bad but those that want a more meaningful song might want to listen to the other track. They're both quality listens if we're being honest and fans shouldn't have to feel bad for liking either song.

I mean, they're already Kingdom Hearts fans. They've waited long enough for this.

Kingdom Hearts 3 does break tradition a bit, since previous games had upbeat and slow versions of the same song, such as Simple and Clean for Kingdom Hearts and Sanctuary for Kingdom Heart 2. This shouldn't be a huge problem and it's nice seeing the series do something different, even if it's about to end.
