Girls' Generation YoonA and 2PM Lee Junho will transform into friendly and talented hoteliers presiding over a VVIP business lounge in upcoming Kdrama King The Land.
In April 2022, it was confirmed that YoonA and Junho would star in a new romantic comedy Kdrama, earning huge attention and excitement from fans all over the world. It was not until September 2022 that the full cast members were revealed and started filming, with the aim of airing its episodes in the first half of 2023.

Kdrama King The Land Storyline
King the Land tells the story of a chaebol heir named Gu Won, played by Lee Junho, who despises people but still tries his best to put on a fake smile. He befriends Cheon Sarang, who will be portrayed by YoonA, who manages to maintain a cheery image despite the fact that the nature of her job makes it difficult for her to do so.
The two of them decide to travel the country in search of happy moments during which they can genuinely smile brightly alongside one another. The phrase "King of the Land" refers to a very high-end, very private business lounge where every hotelier's dreams come true.

Girls' Generation YoonA and 2PM Junho to Lead New Kdrama King The Land
2PM member Lee Junho will play the role of Gu Won, the heir to the King Group. He is charismatic, intelligent, and graceful but has no recollection of his mother. He goes back to the King Hotel in an effort to recover the memories of his childhood.
During his time there, he meets employee Cheon Sarang, who is the complete opposite of him and causes tension between the two of them in every action they do.
On the other hand, YoonA will breathe life into the character of Cheon Sarang. Also known as the "Smile Queen" at the King Hotel, she started out working at the lobby's front desk, but thanks to her charming smile and excellent service, she quickly moved up the ranks and is now the manager of the hotel.
Cheon Sarang has always had the ambition to become a successful hotelier who brings joy to others, but when the successor to King Hotel, Gu Won, makes an appearance, things quickly go from bad to worse.

King The Land Release Date
King The Land has kicked off its filming production in late 2022. Lots of image stills and previews have been released during the past few months. However, a specific premiere date for the series has not been confirmed yet.
As the production on the imminent series has gotten underway, the show is still scheduled to be released on JTBC during the first half of 2023. Some Kdrama fans speculate that since they are continuously revealing image previews for the show, King The Land might air between May-June 2023.
