King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton are sending a message of unity in their recent photo together. A body language expert weighed in on what the four royals were trying to send to the public.

King Charles And Prince William Sending A Strong Message In Recent Photo?

Buckingham Palace released a new photo featuring the four senior members of the royal family — King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla and the new Prince and Princess of Wales. Body language expert Judi James said the photo was very telling. According to her, the line-up showed the eagerness for continuity.

"As any tribe or dynasty knows a show of unity, continuity and strength is vital once it loses a leader," James told Mirror. "The royals are making exactly the right 'survival' statement here, following the death of the Queen."

She pointed out the inclusion of Prince William and Middleton in the photo. She also explained why the Duke of Cambridge opted to hold his hands on his front instead of holding his wife.

"Charles has included his direct heir and wife Catherine in the line-up to signal the continuity, and the fact they are in one line of four, rather than with William and Catherine placed slightly behind Charles, suggests a sense of 'I've got your back' teamwork," James explained.

"William's pose with his hands clasped in front of his torso, suggests a dutiful approach to his father, while Catherine places an arm around her husband's back to signal ongoing support."

Why Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Were Not In The Photo?

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were reportedly invited to the event when the photo of the new fab four was taken. The picture was taken at a palace reception held for world leaders on the eve of Queen Elizabeth's funeral.

In the snaps, all four royals are all-smiles while staring at the camera. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were noticeably missing.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were reportedly sent an invite to the gathering. However, they were later uninvited because the event was exclusive to working royals only.

"It's understood that the family wanted Prince Harry to be there, even though he was unable to get to Balmoral in time to see his grandmother," royal expert Katie Nicholl, the author of "Harry: Life, Loss, and Love," told Entertainment Tonight.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex seemingly made a response to Buckingham Palace's post. On Monday, photographer Misan Harriman shared two photos of Prince Harry and Markle from the One Young World Summit when the duchess delivered the keynote speech on

The post raised several eyebrows because of the timing. The snaps were not new as it was captured last month but was only released two days after the palace dropped the new fab four.

"And that's the photograph taken by their buddy Masaman? We can see that they're really trying hard after King Charles released his portrait on Saturday," one commented with laughing emojis.

Another added, "Oh dear didn't they like the Photo of the new fab four being put out."
