King Charles is not firm enough to stand for the monarchy. Instead, he is reportedly cowardly and wants to please the people, according to a royal expert.

King Charles Is Reportedly Being Cowardly

Former BBC journalist Tom Bower appeared on GB News. During his appearance, he commented on King Charles' preparation for his upcoming coronation.

The Rebel author felt that the King was too concerned about the people's opinions and was not firm enough to stand for the monarchy and establish his reign.

He told Dan Wootton on GB News:

"I think he is, on one hand he's being cowardly and he is constantly dithering. And because he just doesn't want to be disliked and he doesn't realize that the only way actually to impose a reign is as opposed to having an argument or whatever he normally did as Prince of Wales is you've got to be firm and he's not firm."

Bower pointed out that it's the reason the coronation is still not final. There are still undecided key aspects like the priests or bishops who will be invited. a

The Revenge scribe added that His Majesty was performing exactly as he feared, "self-indulgent [and] unable to fix his focus on what is necessary."

He added that King Charles should have banned his youngest son, Prince Harry, and that would have "shown a total purpose." He also said the King should clarify that his disgraced brother, Prince Andrew, has no role either.

King Charles Is Losing Sight Of His Coronation?

Wootton asked the royal expert about the reports that Prince William and King Charles have different stands regarding Prince Harry's attendance at the coronation. The host asked Bower if he agreed that the Prince of Wales got the strategy right, unlike his father.

Bower replied:

"Well, William is, but I mean the real person in charge, of course, was the King, and I feel the King is losing sight of the plot. He is losing sight of the coronation is all about the glory of the monarchy and of Britain, and he's reducing it to the squabbles in his family."

Bower also disapproved of King Charles' decision to crown his wife, Camilla, alongside him. He's also not on board with King Charles extending an olive branch to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle by including them in his coronation souvenir program.

Do you agree with Tom Bower that King Charles should have been firmed and focused on monarchy instead of the squabbles of his family for his coronation?
