Manga readers are in for a treat as the Shonen Jump+ manga Kindergarten Wars has finally gotten an English release on Manga Plus.

This manga may not be a year old, but it’s already gaining popularity in Japan, so it’s not too surprising to see it get picked up on Manga Plus, especially with its interesting premise.

But more importantly, this series is sure to pique many fans’ interest, especially as it is overseen by renowned manga editor Shihei Lin.

Kindergarten Wars: A New Manga Edited by Shihei Lin

When it comes to manga, the authors are usually considered the main creative force behind the story.

While this is true for pretty much all titles, there are times when manga editors get renowned.

Such is the case with Shihei Lin, an editor currently working for Shonen Jump+.

Lin is a well-known figure among manga fans, especially as he is the editor of the biggest ongoing titles on the platform.

Lin is perhaps best known for being the editor of Spy x Family, which means he works on the series alongside Tatsuya Endo.

Aside from Spy x Family, Lin is also known for being the editor of Tatsuki Fujimoto for his previous work, Fire Punch, as well as his ongoing Chainsaw Man series.

Lin is also the editor of other ongoing titles, including Dandadan and Baby Blooper, both of which are serialized in Jump+.

Plus, Lin has also worked with Yuji Kaku for Hell’s Paradise, a manga that has inspired a new ongoing anime series by MAPPA.

One of Shihei Lin’s newest projects is Kindergarten Wars, a manga by You Chiba that began serialization in September 2022. Since then, the series has gotten 30 chapters.

Finally, this new manga is available on Manga Plus, though not all chapters are currently available. Instead, only the first three chapters have been released so far.

Given this, it is expected that three chapters will be released on Manga Plus every week until the series catches up to its latest Jump+ chapter.

This was also the case with Oshi no Ko, which was released a bit late on Manga Plus. Instead of releasing all chapters in one go, the series got four chapters in English every week until it caught up to the latest release.

Kindergarten Wars is serialized in Manga Plus for free in most of the world. It is expected that the series will catch up to the manga in a couple of months’ time.
