Following the success of A Business Proposal, Kim Sejeong scored the lead role in the upcoming SBS drama.
Today’s Webtoon is the remake of the Japanese drama, Sleepeeer Hit!. It tells the story of a former judo athlete who decides to be part of the webtoon editorial department. But the character faces no smooth path to becoming a true webtoon editor.

Kim Sejeong Shows Today’s Webtoon Character
Kim Sejeong has been tapped to play the role of the rookie contract employee, On Ma Eum, in Today’s Webtoon. She quits her life as an athlete after suffering a torn ankle ligament following a tragic accident.
Despite that, she is determined to show her fighting spirit in order to progress in her career.

Before the release of the drama, Today’s Webtoon shared the first look at Kim Sejeong’s character. The photos proved that the idol-turned-actress is perfectly synchronized with her character, especially since On Ma Eum has a lively personality.
The first stills feature On Ma Eum as he goes to work as an office worker. She flaunts different outfits that highlight her bright side. She also smiles at all times, proving that her character has an inspiring spirit that can motivate the viewers.
Kim Sejeong Scores Today’s Webtoon Producers’ Hearts
While the drama is yet to be seen by the public, Kim Sejeong has already impressed the drama’s producers, who recently applauded her for being the perfect actress for the role.
In a statement, they noted that the actress made the set full of happiness and energy.
“In an era where webtoons have become indispensable content in our lives, [the drama] will depict the daily lives and hardships of webtoon writers that we have not known before and the fierce daily lives of webtoon editors, who are like ‘shadow artists,’ who silently support them from behind,” the showrunners said.
Kim Sejeong’s fans can see her again once Today’s Webtoon premieres on July 29 at 10:00 p.m. KST.
