Kill Boksoon is Netflix's newest action thriller that comes from South Korea. The movie follows the story of Gil Bok Soon (played by Jeon Do Yeon), a single mother raising a teenage daughter while keeping her profession a secret. When she's not attending school committee meetings, Bok Soon is a hired assassin known to be one of the best.

Bok Soon is one of the A-level assassins of MK Enterprises, which is owned by Cha Min Kyu (played by Sol Kyung Gu) and headed by his sister, Cha Min Hee (played by Esom). Despite being the big boss in the company, Min Kyu has a soft spot for Bok Soon and even offers to help her out when she got in trouble. This makes us wonder, is Chairman Cha in love with Gil Boksoon? More importantly, is he the biological father of Bok Soon's daughter, Gil Jae Young (played by Kim Si-A).

Bok Soon was raised by a stringent and abusive man. So when she suddenly came home from school one day and found him all tied up and hanging from the ceiling with a stool supporting his weight, it didn't surprise her. The 17-year-old didn't even flinch when she was held at gunpoint by her father's killer, who turned out to be Cha Min Kyu.

Her sudden arrival at home while completing a "show" meant that Min Kyu had to kill her, too; she was a witness and potential threat. But what Bok Soon does next changes Min Kyu's mind about killing her.

Instead of trying to rescue her father, Bok Soon was the one who kicked away the stool, leaving her father hanging from the ceiling. She also tells Min Kyu that he is now a witness to how she killed her father before smiling at him.

We believe that this is the exact moment that Min Kyu fell in love with Bok Soon and decided to help her.

Growing up, Cha Min Hee has always been jealous of Bok Soon. She couldn't understand why her brother had a soft spot for her and why she was a priority for him. Even though Bok Soon was an A-rank killer and a respected assassin, Min Kyu treated her as a prized asset to MK Enterprises. Still, this angered Min Hee, who was secretly in love with her own brother.

After failing a "show," Min Kyu negotiates with Bok Soon and arranges a deal in exchange for her mistake. Since Bok Soon's contract was ending, she agreed to renew it so that no one else would work on the "show" she failed. Min Kyu agrees to this arrangement as long as he gets to decide the duration of her tenure with the company.

During the time that the agreement was made, Min Kyu was in Russia for another "show." This meant that Director Min Hee was able to make decisions for the company in his absence. Even though she was updated by her brother about Bok Soon's failed "show" and the agreement they made, Min Hee decided to go around it by arranging another killer from the company to finish the "show."

Min Hee chose Han Hee Sung (played by Koo Gyo Hwan), a Rank C killer who also works at MK. After digging around, Min Hee also found out that Hee Sung and Bok Soon have a secret relationship that would complicate things. So when Hee Sung finished Bok Soon's "show," he was instantly promoted to Rank A.

Bok Soon learned about that Min Hee double-crossed her while she was meeting up with Hee Sung and their other killer friends. While there, Min Hee announced that they needed to kill Bok Soon for disgracing the company. Whoever can complete this show together with Hee Sung will automatically be a B-rank assassin at MK.

Hearing this, all of her friends betray her and attempt to kill her. Thankfully, Yeong Ji (played by Lee Yeon) stood up for Bok Soon even though she has been fired from MK.

With everyone from that group killed (except for Yeong Ji and Bok Soon), Min Kyu faces Bok Soon. Min Kyu explains that the leaders from the other companies will want an explanation of why their employees have been killed. Bok Soon tells him she will tell them the truth-- that Min Hee ordered the kill. Unfortunately, she also imagines a scenario if she fought with Min Kyu and decides against it. Min Kyu then decides to help cover for Bok Soon and Min Hee as long as the former renews her contract. Bok Soon agrees as long as Yeong Ji gets hired too.

The next day, Min Kyu meets up with the leaders of the other companies while Bok Soon meets up with Min Hee to sign the contract. Min Kyu manages to convince them that it was an unsanctioned show by Hee Sung, whom Bok Soon was dealing with. But the other employees tried to help Hee Sung, so Bok Soon had no choice but to take them out too.

Meanwhile, Min Hee touts Bok Soon and ends up revealing that Min Kyu actually killed Yeong Ji. This angers Bok Soon, who kills Min Kyu with a fountain pen. She then leaves the pen with the receptionist in the lobby as a symbol of a bloodied knife so she and Min Kyu can face each other in a match.

Before the two got down to fighing each other, Min Kyu and Bok Soon sat on the couch opposite each other and had a little chat. Bok Soon then saw that Min Kyu had a couple of knives out in preparation for his duel with his associate. This made her realize that Min Kyu had a weak hand, which was injured in a previous fight.

Unfortunately, every single scenario she imagined in her head ended badly for her. She realized that there was no way she could beat Min Kyu or leave the office alive. And that's when she realized something-- Min Kyu's greatest weakness.

It wasn't his physical strength or courage that made Min Kyu weak. As pointed out by Bok Soon, it was her. This revelation did not shock Min Kyu. But when Bok Soon asked him when it started, that's when he flinched and showed his weakness.

He got taken back to the time when he first met Bok Soon, giving his opponent a chance to swing her samurai across his chest. Min Kyu falls to the ground, takes off his glove to shake her hand, and reveals one last move he had: he sent a tablet that streamed their fight to Bok Soon's daughter. And as a result, he exposed her secret to her.

Bok Soon hurries home and finds her daughter asleep. She wakes up and the two have a soft talk, with Jae Young pretending not to have seen the footage. Bok Soon believes her daughter and leaves her room.
