Kevin Feige Hints At Marvel’s Plans For The MCU Till 2024

Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe might be coming to an end after Avengers 4, but that doesn't mean that the franchise is going to bow out anytime soon.

Speaking together with BMD about the future of Marvel, president Kevin Feige decided to open up a little about the advance planning the studio's been doing these past few months. Sure the studio might still be preparing the rest of the films for Phase 3 like Captain Marvel and Avengers 4, but that doesn't mean Marvel hasn't been planning out the future of the franchise.

"Obviously people are aware of Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Guardians 3, which James [Gunn] gets into prep on very soon. Outside of that, we like the idea of having the world do what we're doing, which is focusing on the immediate future. Once that happens, we will – I don't know that we'll do exactly the same kind of thing, that many years out – but there are secret vaulted doors in Marvel Studios that lead to essentially what we'll be doing between now and 2024."

Before, Marvel used to say it had the MCU mapped out all the way to 2020. Now, it looks like the studio's got everything under control until 2024. Though we know very little of what Marvel has planned for Phase 4, there's been a lot of guessing, and Marvel's already spoken of a few changes before like the Marvel Cosmic Universe that's being built by Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn and the introduction of new heroes in the franchise. There's also the possibility of the X-Men and all the other mutants making their way to the MCU too.

Marvel's latest film, Ant-Man and the Wasp, is currently screening in cinemas.
