Kenobi Series Plot Allegedly Involves Darth Vader Hunting Down Obi-Wan

Though we've known that a Kenobi series has been in the works for a while, Lucasfilm has been very tight-lipped about the plot. While we don't know when they are planning to make any official reveals, the guys over at Kessell Run Transmissions have claimed that a source has given them the main rundown of what the plot of the Kenobi show is going to be about.

As revealed by KRT, the plot will allegedly involve Darth Vader on the hunt for Obi-Wan Kenobi. We don't have any more details than that, but from the tagline, you can already imagine where the story will go. I'm guessing there's going to be some bounty hunters involved, and maybe Kenobi is forced to leave Tatooine to make sure no one finds out about Luke.

I have to say, involving Vader in the series seems like the best move, seeing that this is an era where he's at the height of his influence. While some thought this series will just follow Obi-Wan fighting Tusken Raiders in the desert, the Vader angle gives us a chance to explore completely new places. Plus, there's always the chance of seeing Vader take out the other Jedi that he's been hunting down.

Ever since Vader's spectacular hallway scene in Rogue One, fans have been curious as to what Disney can do with the character with modern film techniques. I would personally love to see lightsabers clash once more for Vader and Obi-Wan, and I don't think it would mess with the canon when they meet for their final duel on the Death Star.

For now, the Kenobi series is set to come to Disney+ sometime in 2022.
