It may have taken nearly four years, but Netflix’s Kengan Ashura anime is finally streaming today. Fans will need to wait for its second half though, as Kengan Ashura Season 2 Part 2 will premiere on Netflix in 2024.
This release schedule is similar to the first season, which was also divided into two parts with 12 episodes each. Season 2 will likely follow a similar split and release schedule.
If this is indeed the case, fans shouldn’t need to wait all that long for the second half after they finish the newly-released season.
Kengan Ashura Season 2’s First Half Now Streaming on Netflix
As one of the world’s biggest streaming platforms, Netflix also has a sizeable exclusive anime lineup. For instance, the platform is the exclusive streaming service for shows such as My Happy Marriage and the upcoming Onimusha anime.
Kengan Ashura is another Netflix exclusive, though it may not be as talked about as other titles like Record of Ragnarok. That’s because the show’s first season was released back in 2019.
Still, Kengan Ashura enjoys a sizeable fanbase. After all, the manga source material is a popular one that was serialized from 2012 to 2018. That’s a pretty good run for any manga.
The show’s first season was animated by Larx Entertainment, a Japanese studio that also worked on Netflix’s Tekken: Bloodline anime.

Kengan Ashura Season 2 Part 2 Expected Release Date
Many Netflix anime are released with a different schedule compared to typical shows. Most seasonal titles get one episode per week. But Netflix anime often come out in chunks, as is the case with Netflix original live-action shows.
Some shows are released in their entirety like Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. Meanwhile, shows like JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean are split into multiple parts.
Kengan Ashura is like this as both seasons are split into two. Now, it’s confirmed that Part 2 of Season 2 will be released sometime in 2024.
There’s no word yet on when exactly Part 2 will premiere. As the first season only had a gap of a few months between parts, Season 2 Part 2 will likely come out in early 2024.
What can be said for certain is that Season 2 will conclude the series’ story.
