Keanu Reeves Reportedly In Talks To Join Angelina Jolie In MCU's The Eternals

It looks like Marvel Studios has huge plans for its upcoming film The Eternals. The highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe flick already has big names like Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, and Kumail Nanjiani attached. Now the next A-lister that could join the high-profile project might be Keanu Reeves.

A new report from MCU Cosmic states that Reeves is currently in negotiations to take on a lead role in The Eternals. However, the report did not reveal which role the John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum actor is being considered for. If Reeves and Marvel Studios makes a deal, the Toy Story 4 star is expected to take on a major part in the Chloe Zhao movie.

Interestingly, this isn't the first time that Reeves has been rumored to be joining The Eternals. It was previously reported that the Always Be My Maybe actor is in talks to play the main villain in the MCU movie. Reeves is said to be the only actor being considered for the role of Druig, an Eternal who seeks power and is a talented warrior. It certainly sounds like a great role for the Matrix star.

The idea of Reeves playing a Marvel villain isn't actually a new one. After all, the Bill and Ted actor was the original choice to portray Yon-Rogg in Captain Marvel but Reeves had to bow out due to scheduling conflicts with John Wick 3. The role eventually went to Jude Law but Reeves reportedly wanted to get a Marvel role when his schedule allows it. Hopefully, this time he could finally join the MCU.
