Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter Officially Coming Back for Bill and Ted 3

With movies like John Wick and The Matrix under his belt, you'd think that Keanu Reeves has put his comedy days behind him. News has just come out, however, that the third Bill and Ted movie is officially happening, and Reeves is coming back along with co-star Alex Winter.

As per BLOOM (via ScreenRant), the third movie will be called Bill and Ted Face the Music, and will be directed by Galaxy Quest's Dean Parisot. Original creators Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon are also providing the script for the film. Reeves and Winter also said in a statement:

"We couldn't be more excited to get the whole band back together again. Chris and Ed wrote an amazing script, and with Dean at the helm we've got a dream team!"

In the movie, Bill and Ted, now in their middle age, will resort to time travel once again in order to find ‘the greatest song ever written and restore order to the universe.' Along for the ride will be their two daughters, more historical figures, and some musical icons from the past.

With the last Bill and Ted movie coming out in 1991, you'd think that this sequel would already be too late. The same thing happened with Dumb and Dumber To; the original cast and humor was back, but the audiences have already evolved to a more refined comedy pallet. Let's hope Bill and Ted can cope.

No release date has been set for Bill and Ted Face the Music.
