Ke Huy Quan Addresses His Rumored Indiana Jones 5 Cameo

Ke Huy Quan experienced a career resurgence last year thanks to his acclaimed role in Everything Everywhere All at Once which led to his eventual Oscar win for Best Supporting Actor alongside the numerous awards that the film also won during the night.

Suffice it to say, the actor is now back in show business again, and we will be seeing him in more projects again soon. Ever since he returned to the spotlight, a lot of fans have also been reminiscing on his iconic role of Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

With the franchise's final movie Dial of Destiny arriving in theaters this summer and the current timing of his return to show business, rumors and speculations started to emerge online regarding his potential cameo in the upcoming film to reprise his role of Short Round.

As a result, fans are wondering whether we will indeed see Quan show up for a special appearance and reunite with Harrison Ford on-screen after almost 40 years since their last adventure together.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight recently, the Oscar-winning actor was directly asked about whether he will make a cameo appearance in Dial of Destiny. Unfortunately, fans will be in for disappointment as he shot down any possibility of showing up in the upcoming film.

"I want to say [yes], but no," Quan responded.

"Here's the thing. I don't want to disappoint the fans. I've joked about it all the time, but reuniting with Harrison after 38 years, that was very special."

While it is disappointing to hear that Quan won't be reuniting with Ford in the upcoming film, fans already got a glimpse of their reunion when a photo of them together went viral last year when they both appeared in the D23 event.

Recently, the two actors reunited again during the Academy Awards ceremony when Ford himself presented the Best Picture award to Everything Everywhere All at Once. The two hugged on stage during the special moment.

Now, we can just look forward to Ford's last hurrah as the iconic archeologist in the upcoming film and find out how they are going to close out his decades-long run on the big screen.
