Kate Middleton Ignored The Criticisms Against Her When She First Joined The Royal Family?
In the book Gilded Youth: An Intimate History of Growing Up in the Royal Family, royal author Tom Quinn said that Kate Middleton was wise enough not to respond to all the criticisms that she received when she first joined the royal family.
Meghan Markle, on the other hand, did not just only complain after she was criticized. She and her husband also filed lawsuits and gave interviews to try and defend themselves from the public.
“I remember when the press was so horrible to Kate. They said because her mother was a stewardess, as it used to be called in those days, no one would invite the family to any events where there was anyone of significance present. The press would remark how she was descended from working-class people, which is an absolutely cruel thing to say. But Kate never responded. She didn’t complain. She didn’t write letters to the press or ring in the editors. She said nothing. And that was a good move. She illustrated how calm she was about those things and didn’t make a fuss. And then, it vanished,” Quinn told Fox News Digital.

Meghan Markle Complained, Filed Lawsuits After The British Press Criticized Her, Unlike Kate Middleton?
The royal author added that Middleton and Markle received the same nasty press coverage as new members of the royal family. But the former rose above everything that was said against her.
“Kate and Meghan got the same nasty press coverage. But in Meghan’s case, she complained that it was unfair, it was unkind, it was horrible. That only keeps the story alive for weeks. In Kate’s case, she ignored it. She’s very wise about it. And I think when she gets into any rows with William, she does the same – she just ignores it,” Quinn said.
Kate Middleton And Meghan Markle Reportedly Argued Over Princess Charlotte’s Bridesmaid Dress
Middleton and Markle are not necessarily on good terms today. Just recently, the Duchess of Sussex shed light on her feud with Middleton. And Prince Harry also went into detail about what really happened between the sisters-in-law in his memoir Spare.
According to the Duke of Sussex, Middleton was the one who made his wife cry after she complained about Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress and wanted it to be changed days before the Sussexes’ royal wedding.
However, Markle was already going through so much that she decided not to agree with what Middleton wanted. In the end, the Princess of Wales apologized to Markle and sent her flowers, and the rest is history between the two.
