Kate Middleton and Prince William recently gave royal fans an insight into how they are when they are with Princess Charlotte alone. The trio attended the Commonwealth Games this week, and they were photographed chatting, laughing, and cheering for their favorite team.

During the outing, Kate Middleton, Prince William, and Princess Charlotte made headlines because of their adorable interactions. Of course, the 7-year-old was likened to her younger brother, Prince Louis, because they both made funny faces while in public.

Kate Middleton And Princess Charlotte Reached A Turning Point In Their Relationship

But this is not all. According to body language expert Judi James, the recent outing showed that Middleton and Princess Charlotte reached a turning point in their relationship. As such, it’s only a matter of time before Princess Charlotte would no longer need the Duchess of Cambridge to talk up the event.

“[Kate demonstrated] some very expressive gesticulation in what looks like a bid to build her enthusiasm, anticipation, and excitement for the sport they are watching. But judging from Charlotte’s facial expressions and body language, Kate could soon become redundant in this role. [Kate may] start to just sit back and relax in public, as Charlotte looks the most enthralled member of the entire royal party,” James told Express.

Princess Charlotte Has Become Friends With Prince William, Kate Middleton Over The Years

The body language expert also discussed in detail what the turning point that she’s talking about means for Middleton, Prince William, and Princess Charlotte.

“There’s a point in every parent-child relationship where there is a sense of friendship growing out of the nurturing role. This happens when the parent begins to enjoy the communication and shared fun as much as the child, and this looks like that kind of turning point in Kate and Charlotte’s relationship. There’s a growing sense of like-minded enjoyment between Kate and her daughter here as well as between Charlotte and her dad, William,” she said.

Prince William Adorably Comforted Princess Charlotte At The Commonwealth Games

Meanwhile, Princess Charlotte also made headlines after she was seemingly comforted by her dad while at the Commonwealth Games. At one point during the entire outing, Princess Charlotte looked upset or bored. So, Prince William immediately touched her head and wrapped his arms around her briefly, according to Daily Mail.

These gestures are quite rare, coming from the Duke of Cambridge. After all, when he’s out with his wife and three children, they are usually more formal compared to their recent appearance.

In fact, Prince William wasn’t as affectionate towards Princess Charlotte when they attended the queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June. He was more focused on trying to calm Prince Louis down.

After their previous engagement, Prince William and Middleton even poked fun at Prince Louis’ energy after they shared photos from the event on their official Instagram account.
