But new details from last month’s harrowing events have just been unveiled this week. While the queen was in the hospital, photos of Prince William and Kate Middleton outside the airport were published online.

Kate Middleton, Prince William’s Vacation Controversy
Last week, New Idea claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were at the airport because they were forced to cancel their trip due to the queen’s health issues.
However, Woman’s Day, in its Nov. 8 issue, claimed that the exact opposite happened. An unnamed source told the publication that Middleton encouraged Prince William to head out of London so that he could get his mind away from the queen’s undisclosed illness.

Prince William, reportedly, became a tad bit emotional after learning that his grandmother was rushed to the hospital. And he couldn’t help but think of the possibility that he would lose the queen for good.
“William might act tough when in public, but behind closed doors, he’s quite sensitive. The thought of his granny being unwell has made him tear up on a number of occasions,” the unnamed source said.
Middleton was also saddened by the news of the queen’s hospitalization. But as Prince William’s rock, she figured that her husband also needed her full support.
“Kate’s terribly sad as well, but she’s made it her mission to jolly her husband along. She’s told him that Granny doesn’t want him feeling sorry for her and sad for himself. He needs to step up and support her and keep the family running smoothly. Honestly, Wills doesn’t know what he’d do without Kate,” the unnamed source claimed.

Kate Middleton's Brilliant Idea Revealed
So, it was, allegedly, during this difficult time that Middleton came up with the brilliant idea of traveling outside London with her entire family. Since her three children were also on school holiday, they decided to board the plane while the queen was at the hospital.
“Kate was keen for them to forget their troubles for a few days and be like a normal family. Duty will call back in London soon enough and, one day, without the queen, so she feels they should make the most of their time together before a lot more responsibility falls to William and herself,” the unnamed source concluded.
Prince William, Kate Middleton Traveled To Greece To Attend A Wedding
However, the Daily Express previously reported that Prince William and Middleton left for Greece after the queen was discharged from the hospital.
At the time, there were reports that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were heading to Greece for the wedding of Princess Diana’s godson, Prince Philippos, and Nina Flohr.
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie also attended the ceremony with their respective partners. However, the royal siblings were not photographed with the Cambridges at the event.

The Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge Are In Glasgow
A quick holiday is something that Prince William and Middleton deserve. After all, they’ve recently completed a number of royal engagements ahead of their vacation.
Last month, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the inaugural Earthshot Prize awards. Days later, Middleton delivered a keynote speech for her patronage at The Forward Trust’s Taking Action on Addiction campaign, according to Hello! Magazine.
Following the couple’s short trip, Prince William, Middleton, and their three children returned home just in time for school.

Queen Elizabeth Health Update
As for the queen, she’s back home after a quick trip to the hospital. Immediately after she returned following an overnight stay, she went back to her royal duties but only virtually.
The queen won’t be making public appearances anytime soon as per the advice of her doctors. She doesn’t have anything to worry about because she trusts that Prince William and Kate Middleton can do the job for her.
