Kate Middleton and Prince William are not as tactile as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge rarely hold hands in public, so many notice when they do. And the future king and queen consort seemed flirtatious in their recent family photo for their 2021 Christmas card.

Kate Middleton And Prince William Shows Rare PDA In Christmas Card Photo

Body language expert Judi James weighed in on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's family photo for their Christmas card this year. In the shot, Kate Middle and Prince William wear matching khaki outfits. Prince Charlotte is seated next to her dad and is gorgeous in her gingham dress.

Prince George sits next to his mom in a camo T-shirt and grey shorts. He is all smiles at the camera. The Cambridge family's youngest member, Prince Louis, sits with his legs crossed at the front of his family.

"This is a beautiful pose that defines a family growing up and developing independent personalities," James said about the picture.

She also noticed how relaxed Prince William and Middleton were. She noticed how their hands were resting on each other's legs.

"But under the umbrella of loving and clearly quite flirtatious parent who look more confident and relaxed than ever before," James added.

"William has his hand on Kate’s leg and she has returned the gesture of affection, love and approval with her own hand on his leg."

Kate Middleton And Prince William's Christmas Card Photo Criticized

The Cambridge family photo was taken during their trip to Jordan. The place was significant to Middleton because she lived there when she was a child. Prince William visited the country for an official five-day trip in 2018, but Middleton couldn't join him because she had just given birth to their youngest son, Prince Louis, at the time. Prince William vowed to return to Jordan with his family and they did.

While the place is significant for the family and the photo was beautiful, some criticized it because it was not festive enough for the season.

"Nice photo, but there is nothing Christmasy or festive about it. On the contrary, it looks like it has been taken in a camp in a desert because those are typical Arabian red cushions used during camping in deserts," one netizen commented.

"A few hours away from the site of Jesus's baptism and an hour away from the site of his birth?" another replied, defending the Cambridge family.
