Kate Middleton and Prince William will be moving to Adelaide Cottage. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge want to live near Queen Elizabeth in Windsor, and one royal expert claimed that the future king and queen consort's decision is "a big slap down" to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Kate Middleton And Prince William's Windsor Move Compared To Prince Harry And Meghan Markle

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are downsizing by leaving their huge apartment at the Kensington Palace to settle in Adelaide Cottage on the grounds of Windsor Castle this summer. Royal commentator Neil Sean weighed in on Prince William and Kate Middleton's move and compared it to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

"They are going to move into a modest four-bedroom cottage, Adelaide Cottage. No renovations will be taking place and they will be looking after themselves with no staff on hand," he said on his YouTube channel, Express reported. "There will, of course, be staff nearby at Windsor Castle but no live-in staff as before."

Meanwhile, according to Sean, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent two million pounds to renovate Frogmore Cottage before they moved in it. Prince Harry and Markle eventually paid the renovation cost.

"Kate and William are also saying to the British public and the Commonwealth, 'We are not demanding your money, we are not going to be wasting it on renovations - we are going to be moving in and getting on with the job,'" Sean continued.

"In my opinion, what a big slapdown back to Harry and Meghan who preach about being inclusive and helping one another while demanding renovations and private jets around the world. What you are seeing here is two working royals trying to do their very best to be progressive and move with the times."

Kate Middleton And Prince William's Windsor Move A Message To Prince Harry?

In the same video, Sean mentioned that Prince William and Kate Middleton returned to the grounds of Windsor Castle to be close to the 96-year-old monarch. Her Majesty has mobility problems and has been doing fewer engagements lately.

"They are making sure that the very right people are around her," he added.

Sean earlier said that the move could be a message or response to Meghan Markle's husband, who raised concern in April about the Queen's companion. In an interview with NBC Today Show host Hoda Kotb, Prince Harry talked about his grandmother.

"I’m just making sure that she’s protected and got the right people around her," he said.

Sean believed that the Cambridges' decision was a direct message to Prince Harry.

"But more importantly the message is basically Harry and Meghan wanted to make sure that the Queen had the right people around her so William and Kate moving directly into Windsor Castle was a direct message to say, 'we are the right people,'" Sean added.
