Kate Middleton has such a sweet smile. However, the new Princess of Wales is more than that because she's friendly and fun.

Kate Middleton and Prince William Just Like Any Normal Couple

Former royal butler Grant Harrold worked for King Charles for seven years. He opened up about his time at the palace where he met the Prince and Princess of Wales and the Duke of Sussex.

According to Harrold, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Prince Harry were just like any individual their age. They were still young and had just left university when he met them. At the time, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were already dating.

"[They weren't] any different to anyone else, it's mad saying that when you think about who they are, but there wasn't anything different," he said while talking about the royal trio, Mirror reported.

"What I liked was that Kate, being a girlfriend and obviously not a member of the family, would be with me and the other staff and she was so polite, friendly, and fun and making jokes."

Harrold remembered running errands up at Highgrove, and they were around, and they would catch up. Looking back, he said, his time with them was "always nice," and they would even ask him to travel the country with them.

When the heir to the throne would call him, Harrold's friends would comment that it was "so cool" being connected with them. However, for him, "it was normal" because "That was the relationship I had with them."

He said having the opportunity to get to know Middleton, Prince William and Prince Harry was fun because he got to know them on duty and off duty too.

"We went to the same pubs, we ended up having a lot of the same friends - I always knew who they were and respected who they were, but I got on really well with them," he continued.

"It's quite strange now, when you see them as a family and as senior Royals, to think that the days I was with them they'd only just left university."

Kate Middleton's Transition From A Commoner To A Royalty

Prince Harry's wife, Meghan Markle, has been talking about her hardships while in the palace, including the negative headlines about her. Kate Middleton also experienced the same, she was even mocked by some in the royal circle for her middle-class upbringing, which was what made Middleton more relatable to the public.

She has been seen dropping off and picking up her kids from school and buying some groceries in the supermarket. Many who have worked with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also praised her down-to-Earth attitude.

"She has that almost old-fashioned, Queen Mother attitude to drama - she just doesn't do it," Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, a friend of the couple and their former principal private secretary, told the Sunday Times (via NDTV).
