There has been a non-stop rivalry between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and Prince William and Kate Middleton, at least from their fandoms. However, many noticed that the Sussexes are allegedly trying to steal the spotlight from the Princess of Wales.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Trying To Steal Kate Middleton's Thunder Again?
Last week, Netflix dropped the first three episodes of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's docuseries. However, they waited for another week to drop the second part, consisting of another three episodes.
According to Express, the delay of the remaining three episodes could be the Sussexes' way to "steal the limelight" from Middleton, who has a big event on Thursday.
The Duchess of Cambridge organized an annual Christmas event, which will be held at Westminster Abbey. This year, the special is set to pay tribute to the late monarch and her grandmother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth.
The annual event is set to celebrate the spirit of togetherness among Britons. This is the second time Middleton has organized the event.
Thus, the Sussexes' raised eyebrows as to why they put a hold on the remaining three episodes and decided to drop it on the same day when Middleton has a special event.
"The decision to drop the second half of the programme on the same day of the service is an interesting one," one insider told Express. "We can't say whether it's deliberate or not, maybe Netflix doesn't look at the royal diary carefully. Maybe even Meghan and Harry don't, they aren't interested in the minutiae of the Royal Family anymore, that's why they left."
The Sussexes also raised eyebrows earlier this month when Netflix dropped the first promo of their docuseries. It happened a day before Prince William and Kate Middleton's green carpet event in Boston and while they were on their three-day trip in the United States.
Many felt that they attacked Middleton in the promo because it included a snap from a royal event where Middleton looked "harsh." One claimed that the Sussexes were trying to paint Middleton as "evil Kate."
"Did anyone else notice the snide dig at William and Kate?" Patrick Christys said on GB News after watching the trailer. "'Evil Kate! Evil Kate! [But] Meghan stood proud anyway.' It does make Kate look evil, doesn't it?"

Prince Harry's biographer Angela Levin weighed in on the Sussexes and Waleses' relationship amid the reports that their relationship has been strained for years. According to the Harry: A Biography of a Prince author, the Sussexes are jealous of the heir to the throne and future queen. However, she noted that they "they are very jealous" of Middleton.
"I'm sure that Harry and Meghan are very jealous, particularly of Catherine, because she looks stunning in anything she wears. If you saw her last night in this green dress, and going along with feeling that it's looking after the planet, she had rented it," Levin claimed.
