Karen Gillan Shares Her Hopes for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

The defeat of Mad Titan Thanos in the Avengers: Endgame signaled the end of the Infinity Saga and the opening of several new possibilities. For Nebula actress Karen Gillan, this meant an opportunity to explore a new dynamic between sisters Nebula and Gamora.

While speaking at Comic-Con Paris very recently, the actress admitted that although she is not sure what happens next to the two characters, she is excited to know how their arcs will go seeing as that their father is now gone.

As reported by Comicbook.com, Gillan had this to say, "I don't know. I think I would love to see what their relationship is now that their father, the source of the abuse, is out of the picture. I think that would be really interesting to see if they can form a normal, sisterly, loving relationship."

She further went on to describe Nebula as the "biggest sadist" in the galaxy and how she is a victim of the circumstances she's been put in.

"[S]he loves to hurt people and inflict pain on other people," Gillan said. "But underneath that, is a broken, hurt, bitter girl who suffered an abusive relationship with her father."

If you may recall, following the events that transpired during Avengers: Endgame, present-day Gamora died leaving us all with 2014 Gamora. In other words, Nebula would have to be starting their relationship from scratch once more, which could be an interesting plot point to take off from for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
