Kang the Conqueror Actor Lays Out Challenge to Chris Hemsworth: 'I’m Not Afraid'

It goes without saying that the Marvel Universe has no shortage of mega-villains but no antagonist has felt more domineering and threatening than Kang the Conqueror, who is set to inflict his own brand of terror beginning Phase Five. In the comics, Kang is easily one of the most unstoppable baddies there is, and now that he's setting his sights on "conquering" the billion-dollar franchise, the former Nathaniel Richards is on the lookout for a formidable adversary.

Well, it turns out that actor Jonathan Majors already has someone in mind and if he'd have things his way, he'd love nothing more than to go toe-to-toe with one of the Earth's Mightiest Heroes' best assets — Thor Odinson in the fifth Avengers film which comes out in 2025.

Speaking with Nerdbunker, the 33-year-old actor pretty much laid the challenge out to the God of Thunder, saying that he wants a showdown between Kang and Thor in Avengers 5. He shared: "I think we have to start with [fighting] Thor. Yeah, come on. Bring it. Come. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I’m not afraid of Chris Hemsworth."

There's no denying that Thor has been presented as a comic relief kind of character in the MCU but lest we not forget that he's always been considered the "strongest" Avenger. If we can somehow bring back the Infinity War version of the character for The Kang Dynasty, I think we can all agree that Thor will give Kang a run for his money.

Kang the Conqueror will make his MCU debut in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, hitting cinemas on February 17, 2023. Meanwhile, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is scheduled for release on May 2, 2025.
