It has been months now since the film was released in Japanese cinemas, and finally, the Kaguya-sama: Love Is War movie has a TV broadcast date in Japan, meaning we might see it get a Crunchyroll release soon.

Following the third season earlier last year, an anime film was announced which was subsequently released in Japanese cinemas last December. Fans in North America were also able to watch the film in select cinemas.

Soon, fans who missed the cinema release will finally get to see the story’s continuation following the third season’s climax.

While many romance anime tend to just dawdle along without any progression, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War is different because there is an evolution in the romantic duo’s relationship as the seasons progressed.

Everything came to a satisfying climax in the third season, which finally saw Kaguya and Miyuki confess their feelings to one another.

This made for a satisfying moment that in itself can be considered a satisfying conclusion.

Of course, the manga doesn’t end here because the story continued with even more juicy developments.

The anime also did not end with Season 3 as the anime film titled The First Kiss That Never Ends was made.

This movie is a continuation of Season 3’s story, and it adapts the manga arc of the same name that’s set during Christmas.

Japanese fans were the first to see the film as it got a wide cinema release in the country on December 17.

Soon after, fans in the US and Canada got to see the film on February 14, though there were limited screening times and venues.

As promised though, this movie will not be limited to cinemas as a TV release was also confirmed back when it was initially revealed.

Now, the series’ official Twitter account revealed that The First Kiss That Never Ends will air on Japanese TV on March 31 at 25:55 (which is essentially April 1 at 1:55 AM JST).

Meanwhile, the second half will air on April 2 at 25:55 (effectively April 3 at 1:55 AM JST). The full version will then be released on April 5 at 11:00 PM JST.

For now, there’s no word yet on a Crunchyroll release for the Kaguya-sama movie, though the film will likely be released there soon.

After all, there are many times when special broadcasts like these in Japan get released on Crunchyroll a few hours or a day after -- such was the case with the Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 3 one-hour special.
