The Kaguya-sama manga may be over, but fans will be treated to a new story in the series soon. That’s because Shueisha recently announced that Aka Akasaka’s Kaguya-sama: Love Is War and Oshi no Ko are getting novel spinoffs.
These new novels will not be written by Akasaka, but they do promise to be must-reads for fans of both series as they will tell stories that weren’t explored in the manga.

Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Makes a Surprise Return With a Novel
Aka Akasaka’s Kaguya-sama: Love Is War ended last year, and its conclusion was well-received by most fans. Many were satisfied with how Akasaka wrapped up Shirogane and Shinomiya’s story.
Even though it has been a year now since it ended, fans are still hoping that the anime adaptation will continue. After all, a special anime film was released in late 2022, indicating that there’s still more to come.
Fans will need to wait a bit longer for a new anime, but at least, they can look forward to a new story via the upcoming novel release.
Titled Literally: The Geniuses' Love Werewolf War, this upcoming novel was revealed via Shueisha’s Jump j Books X (formerly Twitter) account.
The announcement came with the reveal of an illustration, which is likely the book’s cover.
As for its story, this novel is set after Shirogane and Shinomiya became a couple, but before Shirogane’s final battle with the Shinomiya family.
The story’s events take place on an island owned by the Fujiwara family. There, the student council members, along with Moeha and Kei, will participate in a werewolf game to find a special treasure.

Oshi no Ko Novel Follows Ai Hoshino in Her B-Komachi Days
Unlike Love Is War which ended last year, the Oshi no Ko manga continues to get new chapters. As the story progresses, a new novel will give more insight into Ai Hoshino.
The upcoming novel is titled Spica The First Evening Star. It will follow Ai during her early days as part of B-Komachi.
Along with this, the novel will also come with a short story about Sarina and Goro's meeting in the past.
Both the Kaguya-sama: Love Is War and the Oshi no Ko novels will be released in Japan on November 17, 2023. For now, there’s no word yet on international release plans for these books.
