With the series confirmed to end in just a couple of chapters, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War manga creator Aka Akasaka revealed that he is currently working on the final chapter.

Akasaka announced this new Kaguya-sama update via his personal Twitter account. There, he mentioned specifically that he’s working on the ending.

He also asked fans to wait for further information regarding the series’ end.

What Is Kaguya-sama: Love Is War About?

In case you’re unfamiliar, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War is a romantic comedy manga series by Aka Akasaka.

The manga began back in May 2015, and it was initially published in Miracle Jump. In March 2016, the manga was moved to Weekly Young Jump.

The manga is a big hit as it has over 15 million copies in circulation as of April 2021.

Its popularity was boosted by the release of the anime series adaptation by A-1 Pictures.

Kaguya-sama: Love Is War’s anime began with Season 1 which aired in the Winter 2019 season, and it consisted of 12 episodes.

This was followed up by Season 2 which also had 12 episodes and aired in the Spring 2020 season. The anime’s third season aired earlier this year featuring 13 episodes.

While there’s no word yet on a new season, an anime movie was announced which will be released later this year.

Its story follows Miyuki Shirogane and Kaguya Shinomiya, the President and Vice President of the elite Shuchiin Academy high school, respectively.

Miyuki and Kaguya develop feelings for each other, but instead of confessing their love, the two make up schemes to get the other to confess.

When Is the Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Manga Ending?

Back in late June, it was announced the manga will end in 14 chapters, meaning its ending will likely be in October or November of this year.

Last week, it was revealed that the manga only has four chapters remaining, meaning it is likely going to end sometime this November. This was revealed in the latest issue of Weekly Young Jump.

Today, creator Aka Akasaka confirmed that he is working on the manuscript for the Kaguya-sama: Love Is War final chapter, all but confirming its eventual end.

While the manga’s run is set to end in just a couple of weeks, fans of the series will still be treated to more content as the upcoming anime film will still be released.

Plus, there might be a possibility for the rest of the story to get adapted into an anime.
