Weverse Magazine recently published an article about Morgan Wallen and his success in the music scene, seemingly undermining the feats of several K-pop artists, including BTS's Jimin and Suga.
Titled Morgan Wallen in the Most Wanted Man in Music, numerous K-pop fans can't help but raise their eyebrows over the article, considering Wallen's past controversies. The piece is seen as a subtle shade at Hybe's talents, like Twice, Seventeen, and BTS.
The Controversial Article
A passage in the controversial article details the alleged immense success of the contentious country music singer, making K-pop fan readers uncomfortable.
In the article, as obtained by AllKpop, it said Twice, Agust D (Suga), Seventeen, and Le Sserafim "have all jockeyed for the first place," but no one managed to surpass Wallen's One Thing a Time from the top.
It continued that though those K-pop albums "would have ridden right to the top on the back of their sales," the American singer would climb even higher.

Miley Cyrus, SZA, and Jimin might have experienced "partial success" in breaking Wallen's domination of the Hot 100. But it was said they could do nothing to stop the success of the album's main single, "Last Night."
K-pop fans didn't like what the article tried to prove, especially Jimin had a huge contribution to Hybe's stock price increase with his debut song, "Like Crazy," which reached the top of Billboard's Hot 100.
Suga also had massive success with his solo world tour.
Morgan Wallen's Controversies
Critics saw the Weverse Magazine's piece trying to whitewash Wallen's past controversies, like his racist remarks.
The 30-year-old previously faced backlash for uttering racial slurs, breaking COVID protocols, and being involved in several controversial scandals.

However, he managed to redeem himself, experiencing a career rebound thanks to the support of American right-wing circles.
But the article also called these controversies a "rocky period" of his life and emphasized his increasing listenership among those tired of "cancel culture."
Jimin and Suga's Successes
Jimin and Suga have made their own series of successes in the business despite experiencing racism and industry setbacks.
Jimin made it to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 with a K-pop song despite not having any support from radio and payola, but the magazine only dubbed it a "partial success."

Alternatively, Suga became the first Asian act to top Billboard's Top Rap Album Chart, although Billboard controversially removed his pre-order sales.
