Justice Smith Hypes Up New Dungeons & Dragons Film

The new Dungeons & Dragons film has finally wrapped filming and Justice Smith is undoubtedly thrilled to be part of the upcoming project. The Detective Pikachu star is hyping up the movie by singing praises for the directors.

There is little doubt that the new D&D flick is going to be huge considering its all-star cast who are getting a major paycheck. Needless to say, expectations are high but Smith assures fans that directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein will not disappoint.

The Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom star recently spoke to Collider where he stated that Daley and Goldstein are "incredible." According to Smith, the directors (who also wrote the screenplay together) knew exactly what they wanted.

"They're so funny and they have such clear vision.," Smith said before comparing D&D to Daley and Goldstein's other joint directorial project.

"I loved Game Night. That movie is so good and so funny. And it's such a clear, specific story. It doesn't try and be anything that it's not. I think they approached this the same way," Smith said. He then shared some details about his upcoming movie.

"I can't spoil too much but it's action-packed, thrilling, funny as hell… it's all of the things and yet it has a clear idea. That specificity is key in storytelling and John and Jonathan do that so well, being like, 'This is the story we're telling but they're making it enjoyable the entire time,'" Smith said.

The premise of the new Dungeons & Dragons movie is still a huge mystery but Smith's words certainly hype it up perfectly. Hopefully, we'll get to learn more about the movie really soon.

The Dungeons & Dragons film will star Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Chloe Coleman, Jason Wong, and Daisy Head. The movie will also feature Hugh Grant as Forge Fletcher and Sophia Lillis as Doric.

Dungeons & Dragons is scheduled for release on March 3, 2023.
