Justice League/Aquaman Crossover 'Drowned Earth' Announced for November

It looks like that crossover between Suicide Squad and Aquaman was just the beginning, as DC has announced an even bigger storyline for Arthur Curry. DC's Justice League and Aquaman comics will be crossing over for a new event called Drowned Earth, a five-part event that will be coming out in November.

Revealed by CBR, the event will not only detail the origins of Atlantis but will also have the Legion of Doom trying to take it over. It will be written by Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, and Dan Abnett with Howard Porter, Francis Manapul, Frazer Irving, and Lan Medina handling the art. Snyder and Abnett are handling Justice League and Aquaman respectively, so having them on the event is a good thing. Tynion IV just finished his Detective Comics run and occasionally fills in for Snyder, so he's also the perfect fit.

The story kicks off with Justice League/Aquaman: Drowned Earth #1, continues with Justice League #11, Aquaman #42 and Justice League #12, before ending with Aquaman/Justice League: Drowned Earth #1.

Atlantis has gone through one hell of a status quo change lately, with the underwater kingdom now being in the surface world. The Suicide Squad tried sinking Atlantis again but it seems like they will have failed.

Justice League/Aquaman: Drowned Earth will run all the way through November.
