With the ongoing rumors swirling all over the entertainment world that Zack Snyder is set to film additional footage for his director's cut of Justice League, one of the project's lead stars Henry Cavill has apparently previously dismissed the possibility of him returning to don his Kryptonian suit to do brand new scenes for the 4-part mini-series.

When asked about it during his interview with Collider for his brand new film Enola Holmes opposite Millie Bobby Brown, the Man of Steel himself shut down the rumor mill once and for all, claiming that all the clips Zack and his team need have already been shot prior to the release of 2017's theatrical cut helmed by Joss Whedon. This is what Cavill had to say:

Not shooting anything additional. No. It's all stuff that has been already done. Obviously I don't know how things are going to evolve and change and adapt depending on now a different length of movie and whatever may happen in post-production. Whatever lessons may be learned from what is it four years since Justice League came out? Four years' worth of fan reaction. For me…I'm now just watching the party.

It's worth noting that the interview was conducted a number of days before it was first reported that reshoots are on the way next month with Cavill, Ray Fisher, Gal Gadot, and Ben Affleck reportedly returning to reprise their DC superhero roles. The possibility of Henry not being aware of the supposed plans shouldn't be ruled out but hey, it's a superhero project after all. Most of the time, the actors aren't allowed to spoil anything and that's just probably the case. Cavill's co-stars and Snyder himself have yet to confirm the rumors but if it ends up being true, then there will be no more doubt that this cut of JL will indeed be a different piece as claimed by everyone behind the project. Man, all these developments are getting me so pumped up for next year. I can't wait to see it in full!

The Snyder Cut of Justice League is expected to hit HBO Max sometime in 2021.
