The Hidden Inventory arc delighted fans with its incredible action, but viewers still need to wait a bit longer for the next episode. Now though, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 has a new trailer that highlights its much-anticipated return with the Shibuya Incident arc.

MAPPA recently shared the official trailer for this upcoming arc which promises to be the anime’s biggest and most explosive yet.

Along with giving fans a tease with new footage, this new trailer also previews the anime’s next opening theme by a returning band.

Typically, two-cour anime (which have around 24 episodes) get two opening themes, one for each half. But that isn’t the case with Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2.

For the first five episodes, the show’s second season used the opening theme Where Our Blue Is by Tatsuya Kitani (also known for his Bleach: TYBW opening).

Now that the season is shifting to a new arc, another opening will be used.

Specifically, this new opening theme is titled SPECIALZ by the popular Japanese band, King Gnu. This band is certainly popular among fans as King Gnu also performed the themes for the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie.

It’s not clear if this new opening will be used for the rest of the season. But there’s a chance another opening will be introduced later in the Shibuya Incident.

This is because MAPPA is no stranger to using multiple themes for just one anime. Take for instance Chainsaw Man, which got one unique ending theme per episode.

Jujutsu Kaisen Fans Get Even More Excited After Trailer’s Release

The show’s latest trailer previews the new King Gnu song which plays alongside some action-packed scenes featuring the students of Jujutsu High along with the cursed spirits that they’ll likely face.

Given how hyped the series is, Jujutsu Kaisen became a huge trending topic online following the trailer’s release.

Interestingly, despite only appearing for a few seconds, Kento Nanami arguably got the most attention online as Nanami was also a trending topic on X.

Along with Nanami, fans are also excited to see Gojo in action again, especially because of how spectacular his fight with Toji Fushiguro was during the Hidden Inventory arc.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will return with Episode 6 next week on Crunchyroll in the US and other selected regions.
