Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 187 Delayed, Fans Claim Hunter x Hunter Made Gege Akutami Too Excited to Work

Things are certainly heating up at the Culling Game and there is little doubt that manga readers are eager to find out what will happen next in Jujutsu Kaisen. However, it looks like it will be a long wait for Episode 187 as the manga will take a break next week. Interestingly, fans are joking about how Gege Akutami may have been so excited about the upcoming Hunter x Hunter chapters that he needs to calm down for a few days!

It has just been confirmed that the next chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen will not be published in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #27. Instead, Chapter 187 will be featured in Issue #28 next month.

So what's with the delay? It's possible that Gege Akutami is simply taking one of the usual breaks to keep his health issues at bay. However, fans are convinced that the mangaka is eager to celebrate Yoshihiro Togashi's announcement about the new Hunter x Hunter chapters.

We're hoping that Gege Akutami gets enough rest and manages a little celebration for Hunter x Hunter. In the meantime, fans can rest assured that Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 186 will still be published in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #26 next week. That means we can still find out what happens when Kinji Hakari takes on Hajime Kashimo.

In Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 185, we got an interesting look at Panda's backstory following his defeat to Kashimo. However, just as Kashimo prepared to "seal his lips forever," Hakari dropped in and distracted Kashimo who was clearly annoyed. With that in mind, we're expecting an epic showdown between Hakari and Kashimo but who will possibly win? We'll find out for sure next week.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 186 will be published in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #26. The next chapter will be featured in Issue #28 in June.
