Star Wars: Jude Law's Skeleton Crew Role Reportedly Revealed

Earlier this year, Lucasfilm announced that they are working on a new Star Wars series Skeleton Crew with Jude Law cast to star. However, as expected, the details regarding the plot and Law's role are being kept under wraps. Now, it looks like we may have some information about the actor's character.

According to a recent report from Making Star Wars, which details the alleged production issues that the series is experiencing, Law's character is described as a "teacher" as the show is called "like a field trip into and out of the known Star Wars Universe with The Goonies."

They also added that his character is "part instructor of the students, part Bran (the older brother in The Goonies)" since they "contend with pirates in unknown territories" and will go on a journey that "takes them through rough spots and to opulent places."

We do have to take note that the information has not been confirmed by Lucasfilm or anyone involved in the series so we have to take it with a grain of salt for now. The outlet has reported accurate scoops in the past so there is a likelihood that it could be true.

Assuming that the description is accurate, it sounds like an interesting role for Law to chew on. It is safe to say that he will be on the good side (unless there's a twist) and it sounds like he is the guiding force behind the plot. It is also reminiscent of Obi-Wan Kenobi in A New Hope, who served as a mentor to Luke Skywalker in the film.

Jon Watts and Christopher Ford serve as the creators of the series and executive produces alongside Kathleen Kennedy, Jon Favreau, and Dave Filoni. Production is underway in California.
