Jonathan Majors is facing a major scandal after being arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman this weekend. Now, new details from the alleged victim's police report have been revealed.
On Saturday, March 25, Jonathan Majors was arrested on charges of strangulation, assault and harassment. According to TMZ, cops responded to a call for service that evening near the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan. The alleged victim had visible injuries which included a laceration behind the ear, redness and marks on her face and she was immediately taken to an area hospital. The woman is reported to be in stable condition while Majors was taken to jail on the spot.
So what exactly happened here? According to TMZ's law enforcement sources, the victim is Jonathan Majors' girlfriend and she claims that they got into an argument while riding a taxi on their way home from a bar in Brooklyn on Friday night. The girlfriend reportedly saw another woman texting Majors and when she tried to sneak a peek at his phone, the Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania star got mad, grabbed her hand and allegedly slapped her. She also added that he had put his hands around her neck during the confrontation which led to multiple injuries.
The report also states that the woman and Jonathan Majors spent the night separately. She then went to the police on Saturday morning and reported the crime.
Jonathan Majors' representatives deny his involvement in the assault, claiming that "he's done nothing wrong." The representative then stated that they are in preparation for "clearing his name and clearing this up."
Jonathan Majors has since been released without bail. However, prosecutors have charged the actor with misdemeanor assault, aggravated harassment, attempted assault and harassment. He is reportedly due back in court in May. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
