There is little doubt that fans are excited to see Jolyne Cujoh in action in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean: Part 6 later this year. Interestingly, even the actor who will play Jotaro Kujo's daughter was hyped up for the anime's sixth season. Ai Fairouz shared how she prepared to portray Jolyne in Season 6 and it involved watching the anime over and over again.
Jotaro has been a major character in the manga as well as the anime. He was first introduced as the main protagonist in Stardust Crusaders and has appeared in the succeeding chapters. Jotaro only showed up briefly in Golden Wind so it's understandable that fans are eager to see more of him in Stone Ocean.
Not surprisingly, Fairouz revealed that Jotaro helped her prepare for her role as Jolyne. During the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Season 6 livestream event, the voice actress revealed that she rewatched the anime's previous seasons to get a feel of Jotaro's presence.
"I wanted to make sure their relationship came out in my performance too. Even before, I'd seen the anime over and over. It's the soundtrack to my life. At home, I always have it on in my background...So I watch it constantly as it is," Fairouz said. She then admitted she honed in on Jotaro when rewatching the anime.
"But I took it further and focused intently on Jotaro and told myself that I'm his daughter. That's one thing I did to prepare for this role," Fairouz said.
That's an interesting and decidedly enjoyable way to get ready to play Jotaro's daughter. With that in mind, we can't wait to see what Fairouz has done with Jolyne in Stone Ocean.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean will also feature the voices of Mutsumi Tamura as Ermes Costello, Mariya Ise as F.F., Atsumi Tanezaki as Emporio Alnino, Yuichirou Umehara as Weather Forecast, Daisuke Namikawa as Narciso Anastasia, and Daisuke Ono as Jotaro Kujo.
The highly anticipated Season 6 of the anime series will premiere exclusively on Netflix in December 2021.
