Johnny Depp immediately suffered from Amber Heard's domestic abuse allegations when Disney dropped him as Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbeans just days after Heard's op-ed about being a domestic abuse survivor ran. In the exes' ongoing trial, several netizens sympathized with Depp after learning how the studio treated him.

Johnny Depp Will Never Work With Disney Again

In the ongoing trial of Johnny Depp's defamation case against Amber Heard, the actor detailed how Disney immediately dropped him at the multi-billion franchise Pirates of the Caribbean shortly after Amber Heard's op-ed ran.

When asked how he felt after learning that Disney was dropping him from his character, the actor didn't hide his pain.

"I built it from scratch, I put a lot of myself into it, I rewrote dialogues, so I didn't understand how for Disney I was directly guilty without first proven my innocence," Depp said.

Depp vowed that he would never work with Disney again and said that he had no plans to reprise the role even if Disney would offer him $300 million and a million alpacas.

Several netizens were shocked by the way Disney treated Depp.

"Why is Johnny Depp guilty until proven innocent?" one asked on Twitter.

"What are the odds on Disney giving Johnny Depp an apology? 'Guilty until proven innocent' #JusticeForJohnnyDepp," another added.

"Innocent until proven guilty. Y’all dropped Johnny Depp but kept the actual abuser," another user wrote.

"In contrast Disney had no trouble considering Johnny Depp GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT and firing HIM. #doublestandard #JusticeForJohnnyDepp," a different netizen opined.

Johnny Depp Receives Support, Netizens Want To Cancel Disney

Disney's decision to immediately let go of Johnny Depp without doing an investigation raised many eyebrows. They felt that the studio immediately canceled the Fantastic Beasts actor. Now, they are firing back by calling others to cancel Disney.

"Cancel Disney like they canceled Johnny Depp," one commented on Disney's tweet.

"And that's how it should be. Johnny Depp should never want to work for Disney again after how they jumped on the 'cancel culture' bus so quickly and dropped him. As he said, he was guilty until proven innocent. Women abuse claims should not be able to do this. #JohnnyDepp," another wrote.

"LETS CANCEL F…ING Walt Disney Pictures Jerry Bruckheimer Films NOW!

THEY DID NOT SUPPORT JOHNNY DEPP!! My children and grandchildren have agreed: No more anything Disney," a third netizen opined.

Many netizens also commented on the televised trial on YouTube. They showed their support for Depp by deciding to ditch Disney.

"This is a huge loss for Disney and the public. Depp’s career has been iconic, no other actor could have come close. Why would anyone agree to what is contained in an article without reading it," Karen Bishop commented on YouTube.

"I'll never watch Pirates of The Caribbean without JD, and I think everyone should do the same. Hopefully, Disney will learn its mistake when the theater is empty on the opening night, and the days after that," Pelidonte Psy wrote.
