John Wick Director Wants to 'Take A Stab' at Marvel’s Blade Reboot

John Wick director Chad Stahelski may not have experience in the comic book movie industry, but it seems like the filmmaker is interested in joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, if to make one film – Blade.

Speaking in an interview with Cinema Blend, Stahelski revealed a particular Marvel title that he would want the opportunity to direct, and it seems like the action director is interested in Marvel Studio's upcoming reboot of the Blade film franchise.

According to Stahelski, he's interested in the project because of its "vampire martial art action vibe." It's a concept that the filmmaker would like to explore and play around with.

" If the opportunity ever came, I would like to take a stab at...the one that really jumps out to me would be like Blade,"Stahelski told the entertainment news outlet, "If they were going to redo Blade or something like that, just because I feel that one, for some reason, the vampire martial art action vibe. That would be a cool one to stretch and try and reinvent."

Marvel should take this opportunity to work out a deal with the John Wick director. Stahelski has proven himself a great action film director. Starting off as a stuntman for the Matrix trilogy, Stahelski worked on John Wick with David Leitch. Thanks to their work on John Wick, Stahelski and Leitch managed to turn a movie with a simple premise into a kickass film franchise.

We're sure that Stahelski could do the same for everyone's favorite Daywalker.

Blade has yet to receive a release date but we'll let everyone know as soon as we get word.
