The first trailer for John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum has just been dropped and it looks like Keanu Reeves' character might be losing yet another dog.
The trailer opens with a sweeping shot of New York as John Wick and his loyal pitbull run through the streets in the rain. At one point, it looks like John actually loses the dog but the puppy shows up again just before he visits The Director (Anjelica Huston) at the High Table. Unfortunately, he can't get help from the High Table so John continues with his journey to leave the city.
Charon (Lance Reddick) certainly seems hopeful for John. "Do you expect him to make it out?" he asks Winston (Ian McShane), who is just as optimistic. "A 14 million dollar on his head and everyone in the city wants a piece of it, I say the odds are about even," he replies.
There is no shortage of action in the new trailer. We even get a glimpse at Zero (Marc Dacascos), the assassin with a vendetta as well as Sofia (Halle Berry) and her gorgeous pair of Belgian Malinois. However, it's notable that John's dog is nowhere in sight. Did something happen to the pooch? Has John found someone to take care of the dog? We'll find out for sure this May.
Interestingly, the teaser also confirms that Game of Thrones star Jerome Flynn will have a role in John Wick 3. We're not sure who he's playing in the film but maybe he's taking a stab at the bounty so Bronn can finally get his own castle.
John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum is scheduled for release on May 17.
