Jim Starlin Shoots Down Rumors About More of His Characters Appearing in Avengers 4

When Jim Starlin joked about getting three credits for Avengers 4, many fans were quick to report that Marvel would be adding one of the creator's many characters to the movie. It has raised plenty of discussions, with many hoping we would see characters like Pip the Troll. A month has passed and Starlin has decided to debunk these reports.

On his Facebook, Starlin acknowledged the joke he made at a con in Puerto Rico, saying that he would be aiming for three credits after receiving two in Avengers: Infinity War. Apparently, there was never any mention from Starlin about bringing any more new characters to the MCU.

This is kind of a shame since Starlin really made cosmic Marvel a big deal in the comics. Starlin is currently working on a trilogy of Thanos graphic novels, which accidentally ended up being too similar to Donny Cates' acclaimed run. The writer is currently in bad terms with Marvel Comics, though he does plan on finishing the set with artist Alan Davis. He does have a healthy relationship with Marvel Studios, who have treated him with respect.

Avengers 4, which stars his creation Thanos, comes out on May 3, 2019. Many are expecting this to be even bigger than Infinity War.
