Jessica Chastain Says It: Chapter Two Bloodiest Scene Is 'Carrie On Steroids'

We already know that things are about to get bloody in It: Chapter Two. But just how much blood are we talking about here? We'll let Jessica Chastain explain that to you.

Chastain recently joined her Chapter Two co-stars at the film's panel at San Diego Comic-Con where attendees got to see the final trailer along with three exclusive clips. The Mama actress, who had already teased on her bloody scene in the movie, shared that she was the one who pushed for it to resemble another Stephen King classic and later regretted the suggestion to a certain extent (via Cinemablend).

"I was like, ‘No, if we're going to do it, let's do it.' I love horror films, I love Carrie, and I said, ‘Let's make Carrie on steroids.' And that's what we did and it literally tortured me because I didn't realize that it would be that way the whole movie," Chastain said.

We don't know exactly what's happening in the scene Chastain is talking about but we agree that there are gallons of blood here. In the first trailer, Chastain's character Beverly Marsh can be seen SWIMMING in a pool of blood. There's more blood in the second trailer which means Bev's childhood trauma is coming back to haunt her.

The description for Chapter Two reads as follows:

"Because every 27 years evil revisits the town of Derry, Maine, It Chapter Two brings the characters—who've long since gone their separate ways—back together as adults, nearly three decades after the events of the first film."

It: Chapter Two will hit theaters on September 6.
