Jessica Chastain Marks Her First Day on the Set of IT: Chapter 2

The reboot of Stephen King's IT has went down to be one of the most successful horror movies of all time, and production for the sequel has already begun. We know that James McAvoy had started shooting a while back, but now Jessica Chastain has announced her first day on set.

Check it out:

Chastain will be playing the adult Beverly Marsh in the sequel. In the first movie, the role was played by a young Sophia Lillis. Though it hasn't been confirmed, it's likely that the young cast members from the first film will make a short appearance for the sequel.

Besides Chastain, the cast also includes the likes of Bill Hader (Richie), Isaiah Mustafa (Mike), Jay Ryan (Ben), James Ranson (Eddie)m and Andy Bean (Stan). McAvoy will be playing the "leader" of the group Bill.

Though the adult chapter of the book is usually considered the weaker part of the story, I'm sure that director Andy Muschietti has plans to make this film just as relevant as the first movie. Why do I get the feeling that this IT franchise will actually be stretched out into a trilogy?

Catch IT: Chapter 2 in theaters Sept. 6, 2019.
