Who Is Jess’ Love Interest in Butareba?
So far, Jess of Yesma’s only love interest in Butareba is the pig, the main character himself. There are not a lot of male characters who can snatch Jess’ heart in this isekai anime, after all.
Jess of Yesma is a servant to the house of Kirtlin. She wears a silver collar around her neck, marking her race and life of servitude. She is not well educated, and her knowledge about things outside her country is lacking.
Interestingly, Jess can communicate through her mind without the use of her mouth or ears.
This makes it easier for Jess to talk with the sentient pig without people coming after her.
She can also read the pig’s thoughts, emotions, and even his deepest desires, whether she likes it or not.
When Jess encountered the pig, she had this urge to take good care of him. She immediately knew that the pig was an unfortunate soul whom the magicians may have punished.
She empathized with him so much that she was willing to be scolded by her masters to care for him.
Not only did Jess use precious ristas to heal the pig, but she also volunteered to help and accompany the pig to the royal capitol to ask for the king’s mercy.
She believes that the pig can become human again by using the king’s magic.

Does Jess End Up With the Pig in Butareba?
Jess has yet to end up with the pig in Butareba, despite their good relationship and camaraderie.
The pig thinks that Jess is way too kind. From petting, cleaning, brushing, and giving him food, the pig received the greatest hospitality he could ever imagine, especially from someone so beautiful and special as Jess.
He also sees Jess as not poor-looking, despite her fate as a maid. He also thinks that Jess will always be kind, brave, and pure, due to the number of times she has helped and saved him.
On the other hand, Jess relates to the unfortunate situation of the pig. She’s even willing to show her naked body to the pig if he asks her to! No matter what the pig wishes for Jess, she will happily and kindly do it.
Thankfully, the pig is not some opportunistic guy. He told Jess that no matter what he wishes, she has no reason to comply with it since she’s not a fairy that exists to meet his every desire.
Who Does Jess End Up With in Butareba?
Jess has yet to end up with anyone in Butareba, but she is expected to end up with the pig once he reverts to human form.
If, by chance, the pig never returns to human form, they will likely still stay together to the end.
