In Ricky Stanicky, Jermaine Fowler plays the role of Wes, one of three best friends.
The other two parts of the trio are Dean (Zac Efforn) and JT (Andrew Santino).
Years ago, the three longtime friends made up a fictional person named Ricky Stanicky in order to blame their immature behavior on him.
Two decades later, they still sometimes use Ricky to excuse their misbehaviors.
When their partners start suspecting something is amiss, the three friends hire Rod, a washed-up actor (portrayed by John Cena) to embody their fake friend Ricky Stanicky, hoping to avoid being caught.
Wes' younger self will be portrayed by Gaius Nolan.
Shortly after Fowler's casting as Wes was announced, Jennifer Salke, Head of Amazon and MGM Studios, expressed optimism that viewers will enjoy the Amazon Prime Video comedy:
