Jeremy Ruehlemann’s Father Reveals Possible Reason of Son’s Death, Denies Suicide Claims

Jeremy Ruehlemann's father, Achim Ruehlemann, revealed the probable cause of his son's death and cleared that he didn't die of suicide.

Achim admitted to Jeremy's battle with addiction. The 27-year-old was found unresponsive in his friend's apartment in Midtown Manhattan on Saturday, January 21.

Achim Ruehlemann Discusses Jeremy Ruehlemann's Drug Addiction

Achim told the Daily Mail that he suspected his child died from an "accidental drug overdose" after battling prescription pills addiction for several years.

"He did rehab and had tried to get off prescription medication," he said, adding the painkiller Percocet was among the pills the model couldn't avoid using. "Obviously, he was not successful."

However, the older Ruehlemann admitted the family wasn't sure what happened to Jeremy and is still waiting for the toxicology test's results.

"There was no desire to end his life; this was accidental," Achim stressed. "Obviously, he had some issues with drug addiction, but he was very happy. He loved life. He was very vibrant, a wonderful soul, and a very giving guy."

He also addressed the tributes Jeremy received from the fashion world on social media.

"I don't know if there's anybody who could say anything negative about him. It's just a tragedy," he continued.

Meanwhile, Christian Siriano paid a touching tribute to Jeremy by posting a series of photos of them together on Instagram Sunday, January 22.

"I have never posted anything like this, but to lose a friend who was such a beautiful soul is just really hard," he captioned the post. "This is for Jeremy, the most beautiful man that gave so much love to everyone he met no matter what."

He added that Jeremy was one of his muses and always would be.

"He inspired me, and I will love him forever," he continued.

"I'm sending all my love to his family and friends who lost someone so special. I know we will meet again one day, but right now, I just want to hug him," Christian stated. "Rest well J we all love you so much! Send love to his family today please."
