Jeremy Renner’s Poignant Response To What Stan Lee’s Reaction To Avengers: Endgame Might Have Been

Last year, Stan Lee passed away after experiencing cardiac arrest triggered by respiratory and congestive heart failure. While his passing wasn't totally unexpected, the Marvel comic book legend's death broke hearts all over the world with many of his friends and family recalling how Stan the Man had somehow touched their lives with his work and his legacy.

Now, Marvel fans are wondering what it would have been like of Marvel's Cameo King had lived long enough to see Avengers: Endgame, the Joe and Anthony Russo film that serves as the culmination of the last ten years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Speaking with the press at a recent stop on Endgame's press tour (via ComicBook.com), Hawkeye star Jeremy Renner was asked what Lee's response would have been if he had been able to see Endgame. The Marvel actor's response is poignant, saying that while the comic book legend might be gone, he's still going to be watching the film because he's still in all of us.

"He's going to be watching it, brother. He's watching it," Renner told the media, "He's in all of us. He's going to be watching it."

Right now, Marvel is down to its last few cameos from Lee, one of which is going to be in Endgame. The other cameo is set for the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel, Spider-Man: Far From Home. It's definitely going to be heartbreaking seeing Lee for the last few times on the big screen.

Avengers: Endgame is set to premiere on April 26, 2019.
