Jeremy Renner Trolls Marvel Fans With Tag Teaser In The Style Of Avengers: Infinity War

It looks like Jeremy Renner's pretty busy trolling Marvel fans with all sorts of material online.

The Marvel star who plays Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was benched from Avengers: Infinity War along with other Marvel characters like Paul Rudd's Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly's Wasp, and Brie Larson's Captain Marvel. However, these Infinity War absentees are set to appear in the second and final chapter in Marvel's two-part Avengers movie, and it looks like Renner's doing everything he can to remind fans that Clint Barton's going to make a comeback in Avengers 4.

Posting on his Instagram account, Renner just recently shared a teaser for his upcoming movie Tag, a video edited in the same style of marketing as Avengers: Infinity War. The entire first few seconds of the teaser looks like a huge jab at Marvel's decision to bench Clint Barton in the film.

"This summer, one man has been missing....until now," the trailer begins.

Using the same typography and styling as what Marvel's been using in its television spots for Avengers: Infinity War, Renner reminds fans that he's coming back soon – if not in Tag, then in Avengers 4. The Marvel star also added a few Marvel hashtags like #whereishawkeye and #marvelmania to fool around with the Marvel fanbase.

Though it might come off a bit bitter, this Tag teaser in the style of Avengers: Infinity War is a great way to catch people's attention.

Avengers: Infinity War is currently screening in cinemas.
