Jeremy Renner Sent 'Profane' Update to Mayor of Kingstown Creator After Shocking Accident

Jeremy Renner's terrifying accident was truly a shocking one for everyone including the cast and crew of his current TV series Mayor of Kingstown. But luckily for co-creator Hugh Dillon, he immediately got an update from the Hawkeye actor who had reportedly sent a hilariously "profane" video to confirm his health.

Hugh Dillon recently spoke to Comicbook.com to discuss Mayor of Kingstown Season 2 but he also revealed that he was one of the first people to learn about Jeremy Renner's condition after the snowplowing accident on New Year's Day. Dillon admitted that he was delighted to hear from Renner.

"It was the biggest relief it was such a rollercoaster because when I got the news I wanted to fly out and find him and see him," he said. "Then he sent me a video the next day, the biggest relief in my life, because it was so funny and profane, and I was just like, okay, he's gonna come back."

Dillon went on to praise Renner for his sense of humor despite his horrifying ordeal.

"He's just so funny. He's like a brother to me. It's like, you know, we've worked on this show for two years. This is my show I created with Taylor Sheridan, and he's [Renner] just unstoppable. He's an exceptional talent and the crew loves him. The cast loves him. I love him, and it was, and my world stopped," he said.

"I just want him to recover and then to get the video and, hey, you know, just profanity, profanity. You know, it just made me laugh and cry at the same time and I just thank God he's okay, and he's, you know, on the road to recovery," Dillon concluded.

Jeremy Renner will return as Mike McLusky in Mayor of Kingstown Season 2, which will premiere on Paramount+ on January 15, 2023.
