Jeph Loeb Reportedly 'Retiring' From Marvel TV

There has been quite a lot of major Marvel industry news in the past few months. Late in September, word came out that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige would be developing a film for the Star Wars franchise. Last week, the Marvel producer was promoted to become Marvel's Chief Creative Officer, giving Feige control over the brand's films, series, and comics.

While most of these new reports seem like something that Marvel fans can celebrate over, there's a new rumor going around saying that the head of Marvel TV, Jeph Loeb, is set to leave the company soon.

Industry scooper Daniel RPK just recently appeared in the live-chat section of Lords of the Long Box last night, and apparently, Loeb has plans to retire next year. Another user on the channel noted that the "retirement" should come as a consolation to those within Marvel, saying that Loeb is actually "hated" within the industry.

Cosmic Book News also confirms these reports, revealing that Marvel insiders at this year's San Diego Comic-Con said the same thing about the Marvel TV president.

If these reports are proven true, then it's likely that Disney may be forcing Loeb to "retire" next year, using the term to avoid bad press. We're not entirely sure who could replace Loeb as the head of Marvel TV, but we're hoping that it might bring in some positive changes to the network. There are rumors going around that Marvel TV is thinking about rebooting Daredevil on FX, however, as with all rumors, we advise readers to take the report with a grain of salt.

Let's just wait and see what comes out of all of this.
